Hey everyone. I trust that you had a fabulous Easter break and got to spend it doing something amazing.
We have a fun colour combo for our Colour INKspiration challenge, and the best part is you get to pick one of the colours!
I had the pleasure of attending the Stampin' Up! Live OnStage event in Auckland 2 weeks ago. It was amazing and we got to see the new catalogue and use lots of the fab new products. I decided to fight the urge to get my new goodies out and give some retiring favourites a bit of love before they are relegated to the back of my drawer when I discover new favourites! The Climbing Orchid stamp set and coordinating Orchid Builder framelits were the lucky chosen ones!
Touches of the retiring Berry Burst on the black embossed orchids added that POP of colour. Our Easter weather on the Sunshine Coast has been quite wet and dark, leaving only little snippets of sun to take pictures in. You might be able to see the sparkle on the orchid petals. I used Berry Burst ink and my Wink of Stella pen to colour in each one. I use my clear stamp block to either pick up ink from my ink pad or add a drop of reinker onto it. Then I simply squeeze a bit of the Wink of Stella glitter onto the block, mix and paint away.
I couldn't let my left over Berry Burst glitter mix go to waste so I used it to colour a strip on the inside of the card. It was the perfect background for this great Mother's Day stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings set. Isn't that font lovely!
INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as Metallics. Not a member of the Facebook group yet? Just click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. We can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous colours.
Next up we have our Guest Designer, Anne Matasci. Anne won our last challenge with this fabulous card. Make sure you check out her take on this colour combination. You will love it!
