Somehow another month has rolled around and it's time for another Creative Kindness Design Team blog hop. This month our theme is packaging and we are pleased to welcome Anja Luft as our Guest Designer.
I love being able to package my gifts nicely and usually try to coordinate it with the card or gift - whichever lends itself best to the design of choice. Stampin' Up! makes it pretty easy to make gorgeous packaging but it also makes it easy to make quick gorgeous packaging. Let's face it - we are all time poor and just don't seem to have enough hours in the day. Normally I have to go with my 'minimum effort, maximum effect' motto. It's like 'I really love you but I just don't have endless hours to spend prettying up your gift packaging!'
So to save time I try to use the gift bag that shops often give you when you make a purchase. Wrapping - check! Then all you have to do is add a largish tag and you are good to go. So this is the gift bag I made/decorated for my good friend Kelly Kent's birthday.
As I write this I realise that this idea is not creatively ground breaking .... but it is reproducible and works for those of us with not as much time to craft as we would like. My gift tag is attached to the bag with a giant paperclip bookmark. One of things I saw somewhere and knew it would come in handy .... one day.
All I had to do was add two layers of foam adhesive strips to the back so that it sat higher than the handle cord thickness.
This is the card I made to go with the gift. I used the same supplies for my gift card - make multi-tasking your best friend!
Now make sure you check out all of the incredible packaging ideas that the rest of the team has to show you. Next up is the amazingly talented Cheryll Miller.
