Just Add Ink #642 - Just Add a Sketch - Brushed Bouquet

We have a sketch for you at Just Add Ink this week. Sketches are always a great starting point if you need a bit of help kicking off the creative process.

I wonder if you can see the parts of my card that started as a bit of a creative tantrum and ended up as a design feature! That cardstock just would not turn itself into a fabulous design so I may or may not have shown a touch of aggression to it! That ever happen to you - the design in your head does not come to fruition?

So I had to step away and then .... amazingly .... the card came together in a few quick minutes. I turned the sketch on it's side and added strips of ribbon as the band across the card.

Can you see the texture and depth on these blooms? The Brushed Bouquet dies emboss and die cut.

To add colour to the blooms I dabbed ink onto each die with a blending brush before die cutting.

The ink then ends up in the recessed areas. To clean each die just rinse under water or press into a shammy.

I felt a bit bad for the mistreatment of the my cardstock so added some stamped dots using VersaMark ink. The stamp is actually a flower centre but I thought it made a lovely organic dot pattern.

Make sure you pop on over to the Just Add Ink page to see how all the other Design Team members used the sketch. Why not enter your own creation? We always love seeing them!
